Listen Fast, Talk Slow
Aug 26, 2026 • Rev. Joseph M. Johnson
What does it actually look like to live out a faith that goes beyond simply believing the right things? That is the question at the heart of James chapter 1, verses 19 through 21, and it is one that cuts straight to the core of our everyday lives. This session draws a powerful distinction between saving faith, the root of our relationship with God, and active faith, the fruit that grows from it. James was not writing to people who needed convincing about salvation. He was writing to people who were already saved, calling them to let that salvation show up in how they listen, how they speak, and how they manage their anger.
